In a landmark decision, the Fourth District Court of Appeals found that a nursing home's arbitration agreement violated the Florida Residents' Rights statute. This Court's decision affirmed a resident's right to access the courts and expanded the resident's ability to bring a lawsuit against wrongdoers, even when a signed arbitration agreement exists.
